Boulder Basin (showcase demo)
✓ VerifiedGranite shelf field tucked behind the water tank — a natural staircase of slabs, ledges, and one committing V-notch. Grippy decomposed granite when dry; the lower wash holds moisture and turns greasy after coastal fog. Lines from beginner-friendly to trailer-queen-humbling within fifty feet of each other.

Dirt lot off the fire road, fits ~8 trucks. Rigs roll straight from the tailgate — 2 min walk on the flat trail, stroller-fine.
⚠️ Heads up
Rattlesnakes sun on the east slabs in the afternoon. Mountain bikers share the approach trail on weekends — keep transmitters clear of the crossing.

The Notch📷 12/5›
2/5 · Basic rocks
Friendly intro gully with three bump-ups. First-timers clean it by the third try; nice sight lines for spotting.
Waterfall Steps📷 14/5›
4/5 · Committed
Four stacked ledges with a tight breakover on step three. Diffs drag if you rush the middle line — patience and left-foot placement.
Rooftop Traverse5/5›
5/5 · Comp-grade
Off-camber slab crossing above the notch. Full commitment: one bad line choice and it's a tumble to the wash. Comp-cut bodies only, realistically.

Parking lot gate was open at 6am on Saturday, FYI for early birds.

Two dry days is usually enough. The upper slabs drain fast, lower wash takes three.

Anyone tried running it after rain? Wondering how long the wash stays greasy.
